| Ello, New Guy From AZ

Hello all. My name is Seth and I am from Phoenix, Arizona. I have been interested in quite a long time about working with metal. Through volunteering at places, I have learned a lot. I like to learn as I build a project which in this current time, is a track car (drift, ya ya, I know, lame). My goal is to learn the basics to shaping metal. I have done small stuff like remove dents but nothing near what my goal is which is to be able to widen a stock metal fender on my track car, while keeping the stock indent that goes with the body of the car. Not a flare, mainly like pulling out the fender. Money is tight because I have difficulty finding jobs with companies that don't close down and end up volunteering at places to learn/have something to do. I hope this explains enough about me and if anyone is in AZ near Mesa or tempe, that is willing to let me stop by and pick at your brain a bit about metal forming, would love to chat. Thank you for your time! Seth

Welcome to the forum Seth, you don't need a lot of tools to begin shaping metal. It's a good idea to start at the beginning and once you have done some basics you may feel confident to tackle more than you originally thought. David
