hi dave,

interesting surname you have! it was also my surname until I changed it quite a few years ago now (long story, bit boring lol), how is the Plymouth coming along? do you have any pics?

Thanks for the welcome everyone . here are a couple of pics of the plymouth . The poor old thing has more rust than steel . As you can see by the second photo i have removed the entire floor and centre pillars as the floor and sills were nearly non existing anyway . I still have the bits i cut out for reference and the pillars will be used just repaired where they join the floor / sills . I have had the inner and outer sills remade as well as the floor bracing . I will have lots of less complex bits to make or get made to fill in the bits in between , which i am hoping to learn some skills and get some advise from here so i can do as much as i can myself . Dave,
I'll be fabricating new pans and sills for my Desoto. We should be able to work together to knock up a couple of sets.

Hi Ash . I am keen to help out anyway i can and would appreciate any help, although i don't have a lot of experience shaping metal . When were you looking to make things up ? I have had the inner and outer sills and some floor bracings made up but still need to do the floorpans and other things . I'm from Werribee . What suburb are you in ? ..Dave..

Hi Ash . I just had a look at your thread showing your aircraft restoration / repair work. all i can say is wow . I find this type of work fascinating . Would be good to catch up as long as i'm not in your way . i work close to sunshine and could call in one day and say hello . Dave .
