Thumbs up My intro.....

I'm Joe and work in auto body. Trying to pick up some new hobbies and I've always kind of liked metal art and I got a semi junky old Century welder awhile ago. Its a hot torch welder and debating if I want to sell it and buy a cold torch like most new(good) ones are.

I've seen guys that make metal scultpures in human form and some that make like birds and stuff and I'm wondering how they make them so googling led me to here.

Like one guy made a bird out of just nuts. He had to have some kind of mold to make the shape, free hand would be to hard. I've seen other peple make human chests and stuff and they are hollow but I did read one guy made a two part mold so he ends up with like an inverted mold or something..

Anyways, I'm here looking to maybe learn to make shields and helmets and just other things.
