Just joined the forum, I'm a long time car lover, amateur builder.
Currently doing rust repair on our family vacation vehicle, (Dodge caravan) We bought it new in 2002, unfortunately it's become an embarrassment to drive due to body rust conditions. I'm a firm believer of driving cars well past 200k when possible. We are only at 118k on this one and mechanically it is reliable. The wife is pushing for replacement but she's willing to push it off for a few years if I can improve the appearance of the van.
I have some experience with my Lincoln mig welder but it's self taught or learned from videos and reading. I purchased replacement panels for the area in front of both rear wheels (dogleg) and some sheet metal from a local hardware store to fabricate rocker panel patches.
So I found this site while searching for tips to help with my project, I'm amazed at the talent of the members here, hope to put what I can learn to good use.
