Default New From Chicago, IL

I suspect you may be able to find a set if you look at the auctions r used supply stores around Detroit.
I remember watching the stylists use sweeps back in the 1980's. It was explained to me that they were actually portions of a giant French Curve but I have also heard they were portions of a parabola. I had to convert the clay model data into CAD and the CAD system I used supported sweeps (only CAD system I have ever seen this in) The CAD system was Ford's PDGS body design system.
Sweeps date back at least 100 years and were used internationally in automotive and aerospace.
All this was explained to me by a few old stylists and body designers when I was a designer.
Can anyone confirm or correct the French curve or parabola info?
