Introduction
Hello all,My interest in this forum started with stumbling across an impressive thread detailing the repairs/rebuilding of an SS100. It is exactly the type of work I would like to do on my 1934 Riley Kestrel. It requires both rebuilding of the timber frame and repair/replacement of some panels. My experience in these areas is limited, but I have some very talented friends who are also rebuilding Rileys and who are providing practical advice and even some parts. In addition I do have plenty of enthusiasm and patience, so although the task is a bit daunting, I'm quietly confident that the car will one day return to the road, under my care. So far I have been concentrating on the timber work which was in very poor condition but is progressing. The panel work is a combination of aluminium and steel. Fortunately I have most panels, but they all need work. I will post some photos when I work out how to do it.
