Default Quick intro

Life follows an interesting path sometimes. After being displaced by natural disaster, then by a sorry economy, and again through politics, I find myself back in school... again. This time around, it's for a welding diploma, and, as part of the program, metal layout and fabrication in both structural and sheet metal are covered.

I've done some 4-axis machining in the past (just some on-the-job training), as well as some knife-making and basic blacksmithing. Other media include wood and leather, and I've found that working with my hands to create things is really satisfying.

No doubt, production work will likely be what pays our bills, but I'm hoping to travel some artistic and creative avenues as well, even if for my own enrichment at home.

I'm hoping to find some inspiration and some shared knowledge, and will share anything I can in return.

Cheers!
