New Member Introduction – Lifelong Car Guy and New Steward of Jack’s ’49 Cadillac

I’m a hobby car builder with just enough skill and grit to build a proper rat rod. I got my start as a Ford technician early in my career, but I quickly realized that while I loved the work, I didn’t quite have the natural wrenching talent to stay on that path. That led me into the management side of the business, where I’ve spent most of my career.

I worked for General Motors for 20 years, primarily as a field dealer representative, and for the last decade I’ve been the Operations Manager for an automotive dealer group working in WY and SD. Nowadays I enjoy helping my grandchildren build go-karts and dirt bikes, passing along the basics and sparking their interest in the garage.

I stumbled onto the site and was captivated by Jack’s build thread on the 1949 Cadillac. One thing led to another—and I ended up buying the car! I'm proud to be its new caretaker and love getting it out on the road as often as I can.

Looking forward to learning more, improving my skills, and being part of the group.
