Default Hello All. :)

I was glad to find this forum. Currently trying to get a rod together and I'm sure hints here might speed that along

The beast is a 1930 Hudson Great Eight 4 door sedan (really big as oldies go). All in all not in bad shape considering the half century it sat in the bush. Missing doors and rad shell, but I am a fabricator so plan to build my own.

Oh, and since I'm bringing this thing back from the grave, only fitting to give it the nickname "Revenant" (thus the username that almost kept me off the forum <g>)

Of course the powertrain was gone (yeah, don't think I'd be rebuilding the old straight 8 anyway <g>) but the plan is to get the body in shape and slide the whole works aboard a 1969 F100 chassis with big block FE.

Given the wheelbase of the Hud is 119 inches and the truck is 131, I have the choice of either cutting the frame or lengthening the body. And since 2 doors are going to present enough challenge, it will be stretched a foot and the rear filled to make it look more like a sedan delivery styled rod.

Looking forward to sharing experiences.
