| Car guy interested in metal fab

Hello, my name is Joe from Massachusetts. I'm a commercial roofer by trade and a car enthusiast. I'm motor guy, I like to rebuild engines. I always stayed away from bodywork, but I'm looking to learn about sheet metal work/welding. I have a nice old ten foot brake that we bend up all our metal flashings on the roof. I picked up a big, old lathe and a 4' finger brake which has got me excited to play around with some steel in the shop. I'm a member of the HAMB forum, which this site was referenced a few times. So I'm here to learn what I can to get started on a couple of shop projects I have in mind, and share the results. Hope that gets me in, this site is like Fort Knox lol

Hi Joe, welcome to allmetalshaping. I am a fellow hamb member. I am building a '27 T on a 32 chassis. You don't need much in the way of tools and machines to start shaping metal, a lot can be done with a few hand tools. David
