Hi every one. I am a amature welder/machinist/fabricatore/all around gear head. I am building a custome chopper from the ground up and the next thing on the list is to build the tank. I have a few ideas on how to do it but could use some insperation and advise. I am also interested in building an english wheel.
Thanks every one Darryn Murphy |

Hi Darryn,
Good to have you here, Do a search of "English wheel" in the albums and search postings you'll get more than you need but you can pick and choose based on your supply of materials and your skill. Not here but ---Out there--- I saw a "Denterazer" which showed me that a totally ridged frame for your wheel may be nice it is not necessary, to re-shape panels anyway. google it. The old (200 years ago) standard was the "tinker" hammered teapots and pans from material supplied by the blacksmith. Small hammers to smooth the panels after stump or tuck shrinking to raise the basic shape. Anneal the metal.

Welcome to the forum. there have been several good tank building threads on here over the last couple years. You might try a search for "chopper" and see what pops up.
