Default intro from Chicago

Hi all,
My name is Gary. I live in the Chicagoland area. I am into cars, trucks bikes. I drive truck for a living. I recently picked up a 65 Travelall project. It needs a lot of sheetmetal lovin. More than I have ever done before. I have picked up a 4 ft auburn brake to help fab some panels. I have some basic metal shaping tools I have purchased through the years to repair panels.
My friends think I bit off more than I can chew with this project. the 65 is a 2wd. It needs the 1/4 straightened, and the pillar straightened so the back doors will close. I have to make some repairs to the door latch so it will close. The rt fender is mangled, but could be saved. Have to make some patch panels for the lower fenders, but thats no biggie. My intentions are to build a custom truck. I stripped a 68 3/4 ton 4 by for the frame. I have a 3/4 ton dodge p/u for dana axles and drive train. Put it all together for one mean rig. I hope to make some new friends, and learn more and share knowlege. Look forward to being part of this site. Gary Greasy
