Hi,
Been a gawker for awhile. Joined up to read more. 3/4 retired (work one week a mo.) Getting old and have metal shaping on my bucket list. Into cars (mostly chevy) and bikes (mostly 60-70's english) and would like to be able to make some professional looking parts. I have a finger break, a slip roll, and a jump shear. Would like to add a power hammer, planishing hammer, english wheel. More importantly I need to learn how to use them. The wife said I can take one of the 3 day metal forming classes to start me out. Since I don't plan on selling anything I might make I can't justify big bucks on some of the nicer machines. Some of the inexpensive stuff doesn't look too substantial. Perhaps I could make some of these machines. I have a lathe and mill, mig welder etc. and I'm pretty crafty. I would really like to build something if it doesn't turn out to crappy.
I'll shut up now.
Bob
