Welcome fellow Canuck. I just joined here myself. Your Ghia comment caught my eye. I had a '69 when I was in college. Ugly stock orange but zero rust. Despite school boy low funds, I had a mechanic friend help rebuild the engine to 2 liter displacement. Gotta love those VW bolt-on jugs. First time I dropped the clutch, the front wheels pulled off the ground! A classmate friend was an autobody guy, so I did the prep & he did the spraying, nice maroon fine metallic paint job.
So many years ago, kind of miss that weird little car. I was the only guy scraping the INSIDE of my wind shield in frozen Calgary wintesr!
