New from Michigan
My name is Scott...I'm from lovely Imlay City MI (bottom of the Thumb) I've been intrigued by metal shaping for a long time but never got the guts to try it out. I think it's time to finally take the plunge and start. I think this winters project is going to be an english wheel and possibly a shrinker.

Welcome Scott. Beautiful country up there. Imlay City Ford used to be in my region when I lived in MI. I always liked driving the back roads and highways to and from.

Scott, welcome to AllMetalShaping.com. Thanks for joining us. Metal shaping can be done with a minimum of hand tools to get started and it will teach you how metal moves when you hit it. Anyone new to metal shaping should consider buying David Gardiner's DVD you can learn a lot for it.

Welp...since you guys insist that I beat the crap out of metal by hand post up some links to some tools a beginner should look into. Don't be shy...I'm not against buying good tools...my daddy taught me to buy good once, or twice bad...
Any other DVD recommendations besides the David Gardiner one? ps~Thanks for the warm welcomes.... |
Baseball bat hammer, Beater bag, stump, tucking forks, slapper.
All that you can make except for the beater bag and a goodwill leather purse will work if it has a good zipper. |
