Hello Folks!!

New to this site, hope to be able to share some and learn a lot. I am a retired Marine who today builds a few Hot Rods each year. Cars have always been an important part of my life, and have played such a big part in it that I really like saving as many as time will allow me too. Lastest project is a big one, 1935 Diamond T that will be a toter, hualer rig. It needs help as is the case with most pre-war cars and trucks it is basically a wood reinforced vehicle. All the wood will be replaced with metal, and that folks is a job. Hope to be able to ask a few questions and get some of your expertise.

Thanks Roland

Welcome Roland, Where in Alabama are you? I'm in Huntsville if you ever get close. Diamond T's are super. A couple years back the American Truck Historical Society had their annual convention here and there were several Diamond T's and Reo's.

Thanks Kerry, Were not to far apart I live right between Guntersville and Albertvill about 10 minutes from the lake.

Yea the REO's and the Diamond T's are very cool, I am building this lastest project for myself. There has been a rash of Classic Car thefts in the recent past. I rarely do the car show thing but my wife and I really like to drive our cars and take them with us when we travel. It takes a ton of money to build one of these cars, I want it were I can get my hands on it weather we are traveling or not. So a Toter-Hauler rig only makes sense for us.

Roland if you haven't' seen it yet, I'm actually going through the same kind of process in this thread:

I'm leaning toward a separate tow and trailer with an art deco feel.

Welcome Roland, I'm not far from you, I'm on the East side of Huntsville. Guntersville and the lake are one of my favorite places. Dan
