New member introduction Ozrob

Hi, my name is Rob. I live in Adelaide, South Australia, I own a '49 Buick Sedanet which I will be repairing and Kustomising. I was a boilermaker for 20 years before changing careers so I have extensive experience with heavier thicknesses but nothing really below 2mm (5/64") and no experience with hammer forming or compound curves etc. I've read a few books but there's nothing like talking with people who have done it themselves.

G'day Rob, welcome mate.
I came from a similar background too so there was some adjusting to take place that is for sure. But still gives you an advantage than starting from scratch though.

Welcome aboard.

Kinda in the same boat when I started. I worked with thinner sheet metal and it didn't help much with shaping as everything we did was straight brake forming.
