Retired military, want to shape metal
Greetings. I'm a gray area military retiree, and want to learn more about shaping metal.
Former farm kid, used to burn and pound metal for my dad. Also have an A&P ticket, where I played with aluminum. Finally got out of the military after 32 years of in and out last June; now am looking for something more meaningful than government drone type work. Would like to build antique toys, both little and grown up type as a retirement job. Here's some pics of my work so far: https://scontent-cdg2-1.xx.fbcdn.net...dc&oe=576289A1 Before: https://scontent-cdg2-1.xx.fbcdn.net...b6&oe=5762840D After: https://scontent-cdg2-1.xx.fbcdn.net...3f&oe=57625FC9 Here's what I'm working on next: https://scontent-cdg2-1.xx.fbcdn.net...b9&oe=576283B8 |
welcome
Welcome to the forum and I know that you will be able to get all the assistance you want, that's if you require any from the previous projects.
And keep the follow ups coming in the car restoration. Have a look at Hand Built Web page located in Melbourne Australia. Peter sells tools videos etc, - good contact and very helpful see some of this work in the forum. All the best from Denis Australia |
Hi Drew welcome to the forum

Well, that didn't work out the way I thought
As I stated in my introduction, I was looking at getting out of military contracting after retirement about a year ago. So here I am, back in Afghanistan, at least until February of 2018, unless I quit early in my tour for whatever reason.
Poop. So I'm stuck reading and dreaming for the next almost a year. :( |
