This is Alan Bottomley from Tasmania, Australia.
I have been invited to join this forum by John Alden ("Overkill").
I have enjoyed a little bit of fame as the inventor of the Magnabend electromatic sheetmetal bending machine.
Obviously I have a keen interest in metalforming and thus am looking forward to joining this forum.:)

Alan has informed me that there are differences between the Roper Whitney Magnabend and his E type magnetic brakes. I'm hoping to have a discussion about the difference, and the capabilities of magnetic brakes as compared to traditional brakes.

Welcome aboard! I look forward to hearing more about the uses of your Magnabend brake, I am currently looking at different options for a future purchase, and I am trying to gather info on the subject to make an informed choice.
