Looking for E Wheel build help

Hi all. I,m in North Idaho. I,m fairly new to metal work and find my self in need of an E wheel so I can make some panels for my 1937 Chevy panel truck. Some of the panels I can buy but what fun is that? I think my best option is to make one. I have a Mig and a stick welder. Any advise would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi Bill and welcome!:)
Do a search on English wheel, then set back and enjoy!
There are a lot of us that made our own.

I completed my wheel last summer, I used Kerry's plans and am very pleased with the results.

I would advise that you play around with the relative stiffness calculator before you buy material.

depending on your resources and level of interest I would recommend building one with a "C" shaped frame from heavy plate. Either from Tom Lipton plans ( medium size) or a larger size from kent whites plans. http://www.tinmantech.com/html/english_wheel_parts.php. just my 2 cents welcome aboard.... kerry's are also well received
