While I've never met Kirsten in person, I've seen here work in person and the photographs don't do it justice.

That's some neat stuff! How do you heat treat your tools?

After forging, we (husband and I) anneal the entire tool. Then after grinding, filing, and emerying, we harden and temper approximately 1/4 inch of the shaped working end to the rosy brown color between straw and purple.
